How DVC's Trailers Are Perfect for Transporting Mulch, Stone, Sand and Soil for Landscaping Projects

Social media has become part of a company’s identity. Just as a logo identifies a company, social media posts also have the same effect due to consistency, the colors and logo, the identifier and platforms. It provides a link to customers, as in building a community within a certain industry.
It’s amazing how far social media has come since its inception in 1997. That’s right, social media is nearly 25 years old! It’s hard to imagine the world without it, much like imagining the world without TVs or cell phones. It has become a part of our lives, personal and professional. It’s more than just a way to get the “word” out about something or someone – it’s become part of our identity and daily routine. Social media also lets us communicate and find people who like the same things, allowing us to build communities.
For some industries, social media works better than traditional marketing and/or advertising channels, such as TV, print and radio. Yet, all of them depend on compelling content and images for engagement. Social media plays a large part in marketing plans for companies of all shapes and sizes since most of the world is active on it. This is especially true for truck drivers. They use social media to stay up to date on trucking trends, tips, weather reports and more. Thus, trucking companies utilize social media in a number of ways, such as to:
1. Reach a variety of customers (i.e., new customers).
2. Give customers information about a company’s product or services.
3. Hire new drivers.
4. Post content about company milestones, industry news, advice … etc.
5. Share images of jobs and the fleet.
6. Communicate with trucking groups and companies.
7. Receive feedback from customers.
At DVC, we use social media to give our customers information about our company and to show them what we offer. We are proud of our equipment, employees and services and social media lets us spotlight them. Keep an eye out for our next post!
